Siemens Energy in Nigeria

Siemens Energy is a global company with a long history in Nigeria. Siemens has been active in Nigeria since the 1950s and established its first Representative Office in the country in 1970. Today, more than 140 employees operate from Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja as well as project sites around the country. In addition to major power plants in Nigeria, Siemens has supplied and installed more than 100 small gas turbines and compressors in onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities. In partnerships with local Nigerian companies – such as GIL Automations Limited, Mikano International Limited, and Martsie Limited – Siemens has delivered projects ranging from low-voltage distribution systems to traffic lighting and control systems, and the supply and servicing of building technology solutions. Siemens is fully committed to ensuring that Nigeria continues to maintain a strong position in Africa’s dynamic, knowledge-based economy, by providing efficient and reliable power grids.
