Siemens is delivering a full turn-key solution for large-scale, efficient energy generation for the UK, right in the heart of Lincolnshire for our customer SSE.
Construction of Keadby2 began in August 2018, which will be a combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power station. Keadby2 will benefit from the latest ingenious power generation technology including world-leading Siemens 9000HL 50Hz turbine which pushes efficiency and performance to the next level.
The Siemens 9000HL gas turbine is the most efficient on the market and includes state-of-the-art 3D printed parts as part of its design. Once built, this advanced power station will provide large-scale efficient and reliable energy for up to 840,000 homes.

Local MP, Andrew Percy visits Keadby 2 project
Andrew Percy MP for Brigg and Goole visited Keadby 2 to tour the site and hear about the latest activity. He heard about the contracts which have been placed in the region with local suppliers, as well as the work being done to support local recruitment with the partnership with NRL recruitment. Mr Percy has a keen interest in education and key members of the project team discussed the work both Siemens and SSE are doing in the local area to support STEM and ensure school children in the area know about the significant project which is on their doorstep.
