Siemens Energy Canada Limited will strive wherever possible, to provide information to customers with disabilities in ways that meet their needs. The accessibility of the public web site plays an essential role.
Siemens Energy Canada Limited is continuously improving the accessibility of its public web site in applying the Success Criteria (SC) of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) level A and level AA as requested in the Accessibilities for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 ("AODA"). Major progress has been made over the last 12 months by including the experts of the Siemens Accessibility Competence Center in Germany.
The evaluation is being performed including blind persons and persons with low vision using up to date screen readers, screen magnifiers and other assistive technologies. The accessibility experts confirm the functional accessibility of the top-level pages in desktop website version that some Level A requirements are not met yet. These bugs are going to be fixed very soon, keeping in mind that such problems may occur in principle with content changes at any time.
Siemens Energy Canada Limited will take care of a full alignment of the new web site to WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
