Siemens Energy Kft., employing more than 1,600 people, contributes to energy supply on every continent from its Budapest headquarters, where our Gas Services turbine component factory produces gas and steam turbine blades, vanes, and steel components, as well as gas turbine combustion burner for power plants. 

Our Training Center in Budapest has been providing industry-oriented technician, engineering, and further education programs for over a decade, directly supporting the company’s technological areas. The modern 1,500 m² facility on Késmárk Street offers a practice-focused learning environment, ranging from dual and cooperative training programs to internal competency development. The center aims to further strengthen Siemens Energy’s professional talent pipeline and training portfolio through collaboration with innovative partners.

The Gas Services Competence Center (GS CC) provides high value-added engineering capabilities for the implementation of Siemens Energy’s various technical projects. During their assignments, our engineers carry out the commissioning of electrical and control systems for industrial gas turbines, as well as performing mechanical servicing. Our colleagues involved in international collaborations work on the design and execution of power plant and grid technology systems, as well as control engineering solutions. The successful delivery of global projects and the efficient work of engineers are supported by a diverse back-office team that handles the financial and administrative tasks necessary for smooth operations.

The Controls, Digitalization & Nuclear organization brings together expertise in automation, digitalization and control engineering. In their work, they apply technologies that support the safe, reliable and efficient operation of power plants. The team covers the entire process – from initial design concepts, through Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and project execution, to long-term service and customer support. One of the largest and most prominent centers of the global CD&NUC organization, spanning multiple countries and continents, is located here in Budapest. The dynamically growing Hungarian team now consists of nearly 150 colleagues and brings together experts from a wide range of fields, including engineering, finance, procurement, strategy, project and bid management, support functions and other key business areas.

Our Budapest-based Sales, Service, and Project Management organization covers Siemens Energy’s full product and service portfolio. With our installed gas and steam turbine portfolio, we are market leaders in Hungary. We delivered the Gönyű Power Plant and the Miskolc District Heating Plant on a turnkey basis. At Siemens Energy Distribution Transformers Kft.’s Csepel plant, which employs nearly 650 people, we manufacture, on a custom-order basis, two types of distribution transformers – oil-insulated and dry-type (cast resin) products – in a way that is unique even on a global scale. The nearly 10,000 transformers produced here each year ensure efficient energy transmission for utilities, solar parks, companies in the food, construction, metal, mining, automotive, and chemical industries, as well as for transport infrastructure, e-mobility and energy storage providers.

In Hungary, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Kft. represents Siemens Energy’s Wind Power business, which manufactures onshore and offshore wind turbines, commissions wind farms and provides service. The 160-strong project organization in Budapest works across all continents.
