Siemens Energy’s instructors bring decades of experience in training customers to safely operate and maintain Siemens Energy and Dresser-Rand compressors and turbines. Training is delivered virtually or in the classroom through lectures, hands-on programmes in labs and training centres, and on-site at customer locations.

Siemens Energy’s training courses are designed for operators, mechanics, maintenance supervisors, and reliability engineers working on Siemens Energy and/or Dresser-Rand equipment. From introductory to advanced levels, a wide range of classes is available to strengthen core competencies in turbomachinery. Training can also be tailored to specific company needs, using customer drawings, systems, and simulations of gas turbines or compression software.

Participants start with the fundamentals, build an understanding of model variations, and progress into equipment operation, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.

The hands-on element includes the safe, step-by-step disassembly, inspection, measurement, recording, and reassembly of components, guided by experienced instructors. Participants also learn how to navigate and interpret service manuals to identify procedures, specifications, and torque values.

Siemens Energy offers tailor-made Long-Term Training Programmes (LTP) for customer equipment, delivered on-site or at its purpose-built Training Centre in Duisburg, Germany.

With programmes extending up to five years, training plans are fully customisable and can be adapted at any time to reflect changing equipment and resource needs. Training can form part of a standard LTP or be delivered as a dedicated programme.
