As an engineering and business management professional, Doug Bird brings a unique blend of technical expertise and strategic leadership skills to Siemens Energy. Doug has over 32 years of dedicated service to Siemens Energy with in-depth knowledge and extensive experience in both reciprocating products and integral gas engines including operation, maintenance and field service. Doug holds an MBA in Management and a BS in mechanical engineering, equipping him to bridge the gap between technical and business functions. In his current position, Doug provides support for the North America sales region focused on engineering management, rotating equipment, mechanical analysis, and design.  

Douglas Harsch

Project Development Manager | Siemens Energy

As a seasoned Project Development Manager specializing in rotating equipment, Douglas Harsch brings expertise in overseeing complex projects and processes. Through his various roles including Application Engineering, Sales, Product Development, and Repairs, Douglas has extensive experience in developing upgrade and performance revamp opportunities, creating compelling value propositions based on customer needs, and conducting compressor performance analysis. Douglas has over 16 years of in-house experience holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with Minor in Off-Road Equipment.

Earl Glover

Principal Key Expert | Siemens Energy

With 42 years of experience in the natural gas industry, Earl Glover has developed cutting-edge solutions that improve performance, efficiency, and environmental sustainability. Earl has developed emission retrofits and control packages across 8 OEMs and 36 models, which have helped significantly reduce emissions and improve air quality. He is also specialized in turbocharger system design, ignition system design, fuel injection system design, and system integration for these components on engines. Earl is currently the Operations Manager of RCE group, responsible for emissions reduction retrofits, and upgrades in the natural gas pipeline industry covering all legacy Worthington, Clark, Dresser-Rand and non-legacy Cooper Bessemer, Superior and Wartsilia reciprocating compressor engines.

Thomas (Mac) Sine

Product Engineer | Siemens Energy

Mac Sine has performed a variety of engineering and project led functions within Siemens Energy since joining the company in January 1988. He holds a Master of Engineering in Engine Systems, a Bachelor of Science degree, and an Associate of Applied Science degree. He is currently the lead test and development engineer supporting new production of both two-stroke cycle and four-stroke cycle, large-bore, slow-speed integral gas engine compressors. Mac’s extensive work experience includes engine application engineering, engine revamp engineering, design of engine control systems, torsional critical speed analysis of engine compressor and generator-drive models, conducting in-plant and site-specific customer engine schools and support the resolution of field problems.
