Siemens Energy, through its Innovation Center Orlando and close partnership with the Charlotte, North Carolina Additive Manufacturing team, is pioneering large electric heaters that convert electricity into high-efficiency, zero-carbon thermal energy for industrial processes and long-duration energy storage, with successful demonstrator tests validating performance for both gases and liquids. Siemens Energy is launching pilot projects—including a large-scale molten salt heater in Sanford, Florida—and aims to deliver the most powerful, cost-effective, and compact e-heater on the market, positioning itself at the forefront of decarbonizing industrial heat and enabling the conversion of coal plants to energy storage facilities worldwide.
