His educational background includes a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Applied IT, which has equipped him with a strong foundation in engineering principles, economic requirements, and the demands of a digital future. Lukas Biyikli

R&D Portfolio Manager | Siemens Energy

Lukas Biyikli currently serves as the R&D Portfolio Manager for Integrally Geared Compressors, CCUS, and Heat Pumps. Lukas has previously worked in Business Development and Sales for emerging compression technologies and applications, including hydrogen, clean fuels, heat pumps, steam compression, and CCUS. He has pioneered innovative approaches to integrate turbo and reciprocating compressors into process applications and developed a technique that couples a CO2 compressor with the LP steam provision for amine-based carbon capture systems. Lukas’ vast experience and expertise in emerging compression technologies, coupled with his a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Hochschule Ruhr West University of Applied Sciences, make him an invaluable member to the Siemens Energy team.

Balbino is a seasoned professional with over 13 years of experience at Siemens Energy. His diverse roles have included Manufacturing & Operations, Aftermarket and New Equipment Sales, Commercialization of new technologies, Strategy, and currently Marketing and Business Development. He has a wealth of experience in Energy Solutions and Decarbonization, and has been instrumental in driving growth and innovation across the company. Balbino holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
